My work, as a speaker and as a coach, is all about change; change in intention, in focus, in perspective, in assumptions, in comfort zone, in goals, and in results. Changing – in the direction you want – is just as relevant to corporate and organizational audiences as it is to individual coaching clients and to the general public.
My expertise is in the process of helping people change. I do this through speaking and facilitating as well as through coaching and writing. Here are the presentations I deliver. If any of these seem to fit with your needs and priorities, please contact me at 613-244-3420 or by e-mail lee@leewallace.ca. We can talk, to see if there is a fit between what you want and what I offer.
KEYNOTES AND WORKSHOPS:
The Top 9 Questions to Ask Yourself and the People You Lead
This presentation is based on my new book, Coach Yourself and the People You Lead and my many years’ experience as a counsellor and coach. These key questions will help you get the results you desire. The same questions will assist you in building the capacity, and productivity, of the people who work for you.
Keynote Presentation (45 to 90 minutes) or Seminar/Workshop.
A 2-day workshop, Coach Yourself and the People You Lead, includes all 34 questions addressed in the book and a copy of the book for each participant.
Target Audience: Leaders and Emerging Leaders at all Levels
Your Personalities are Your Strengths
This workshop is an excellent opportunity for your team members to better appreciate themselves and one another. It is fun and informative and ideal for team retreats. Using “Personality Dimensions”, (a Canadian self-assessment tool similar to “True Colors”), participants learn to value themselves, their co-workers and their clients/customers. They realize that their differences really are their strengths.
Facilitated Workshop: half- or full-day
Target Audience: Work Teams
Promote Your Career
How can you get ahead in your career? Whether you are looking for a long-term career plan, seeking a new job or promotion, or promoting yourself as a consultant or independent service provider, it is crucial to your success that you be able to identify and articulate the value you bring to the work you do. Otherwise, why would anyone hire or promote you?
Learn how to appreciate the value you have to offer, and to articulate and demonstrate it to others.
Keynote Presentation or Full-Day Workshop
Target Audience: Anyone seeking to move forward in their career.
Building Career Foundations: Prepare Your Children for Career Success in an Uncertain Future
Are you concerned about your children’s or grandchildren’s future, especially since globalization and outsourcing are making radical changes in Western economies?
Discover how to help your children and grandchildren, from a young age, learn about themselves and the world around them, and to develop skills and attitudes that they will need for future success, however they define it. This isn’t about trying to choose the right job when they are too young to decide. It’s about building a foundation that will give them more and better choices when the time comes. I worked with teens for many years. Do not wait until your children are teenagers.
Keynote Presentation or Workshop (from 2 hours to a full day)
Target Audience: Parents and Grandparents
TRAINING PROGRAM:
Soft Skills Development
Your “technical” expertise alone does not make you a leader. You also need “soft” or people skills.
Do you want to improve your people skills? People skills are all about communication and building relationships. Learn to develop your communication and coaching skills. Effective communication is built upon listening, and asking the right questions, but you also need to make your own point, and make it well.
Target Audience: Leaders and Emerging Leaders at all Levels
Training Program: Length varies according to client needs. These are modules that can be combined. The full program can be spread over time.
Coach Yourself and the People You Lead – 1 or 2 days (the second day allows practice, feedback and more advanced work)
Sending and Receiving: Effective Communication Skills, from Listening Well to Making Your Point – 2 days
Writing with Confidence – 2 days, including time for writing that will be critiqued on the second day.
CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
Lee Wallace led this workshop for our entire region office and it was a great experience for all of us. It gave us a chance to learn more about ourselves and how we do our jobs. It also provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about our co-workers and what’s important to them. Having a better understanding of each other has allowed us to work together more effectively and appreciate the differences in how we approach our work. We continue to reference the training in assessing our working relationships and understanding how best to coach others in our teams. The workshop was also a great team building activity and allowed us to have some fun together as a group. Lee did a great job in facilitating the program and created opportunity for dialogue and interaction amongst all of us.
We highly recommend his program as a way to learn more about yourself, appreciate your coworkers and build some team all at the same time.
